  Very cool powerhead/ circulation pump.

  Marineland has come out with this ultra cool powerhead/circulation pump combo. I love powerheads in my tanks because of their efficency in moving water and filtration for a reverse or forward flow undergravel filter/or sponge powerhead combo. It has proven to be ideal in my clown loach tank where I am just using multiple penguin powerheads/sponge combo and have had them alive and thriving for nearly 10 years. When I saw the new Maxijet PRO I just had to give it a try. My clowns love playing in quick water as in nature they are from areas with high water movment-so I decided to buy this for the circulation mode. Other strong circulation filters are three times the price of these and are weaker or equal to the power. I have read many reviews saying they were very loud but I find mine to be very silent considering the power, only a very slight hum can be heard when I am within 3-4 feet.   tried two, same bad results

  I have some old Maxi-jet 1200's...they have white impellers & work wonderfully. I needed to add one more & so I figured I'd stick with what's worked well for me in the past. It seems Marineland has changed their models..the new one has a different impeller (it's purple, so that's how you know when you got one of the new terrible ones). The first one I got, the impellers SHEARED OFF completely within a day. So I exchanged it out for a new one...the impeller on it was wobbly & made so much noise it wasnt worth keeping.I'm so disappointed in these new pumps.   Awesome powerhead, perfect price, lots of configurability

  I needed a pump to use in a sump I was building. Only needed about 100gph of flow going back into the aquarium from the sump. This was perfect, it's actually more than I need which is good.*** FLOW RATINGSIt's rated for 1,300GPH, which is based on open-flow. Meaning just being used as a powerhead to push water around an aquarium. It comes with a screw (propeller) and an enclosure, and it will DEFINITELY move your water around fast. For "pump" mode, it's rated at 295gph open flow.With the fittings I used, the smallest restriction is 3/8". The tubing is 1/2". I'm able to get over 200gph of return flow with this setup, which I have to dial-down using a gate valve in order to maintain my precise needs.   Great water flow and longevity

  I've used this pump now for about a year and it still works perfectly. Water circulation is outstanding. Only gripe I would have is that they need to be primed after every water change. For some reason, they hold the air inside the pump preventing water from flowing. Simple remedy is to just turn the unit upside down in the water for a few seconds to let the air out, once the water starts flowing again, just reinsert it back into the filter tube.   The ideal circulation pump

  I have to say that this circulation pump is amazing. Packs a lot of punch for something the size of an egg, and it's small size is what makes it so great. With the magnet base to attach it you can basically mount this thing anywhere in the aquarium. I originally bought it to add to my AquaClear Powerhead 400 for some extra flow but I was so happy with the performance, size, and neat clean look inside the tank that I have decided to retire my old bulky powerhead and replace it by ordering another Koralia Nano 425. I have a 29 gallon BioCube and I believe 2 of them will give the perfect amount of flow for my corals.   Eclipse 37 Gallon Aqurium

  This works very well for my 37 Gallon. It really is quite and creates just enough circulation in my aquarium to keep the water moving nicely. I wouldn't say it does an excellent job eliminating all the "dead spots" in the tank but the fish seem much happier and my feather duster looks so nice flowing in the current.The size is perfect for small aquariums and hides nicely next to my filter so it really isn't obtrusive.I am considering getting a second one just to increase the flow and rid the tank of all dead spots..   I have been using this powerhead for since November. I have bought another generic brand from ebay claiming to have the same output but it didn't. This powerhead from Aquatop is working very well, powerful but not too much for my 46 bowfront. It's fully submersible and be sure to let the cap off if you have air crept in it to generate pressure.   Great product for the price. Going on 2 months now and the suction cups are still holding strong.I stretched the power cord and tied it to reduce the stress on the suction cups.I would defenetly recommend this product and will buy for me other tank aswell.Doesnt make alot of noise.   I have bought three of these over the past year and have been impressed by all of them. Unless you plan to spend $200-$400 a piece for the eco-tec units, this is a darn good value. They may not have all the bells and whistles like other models, but they are dead quiet, and when I say dead quiet, I mean that with everything else off in my reef tank, I have to put my ear four inches from the water to hear it running. It also provides a broad current, which is desirable, as opposed to a concentrated jet. Is it the absolute best model on the market? No. Is it the best value? In my opinion, yes it is. For anyone on a budget, these are the way to go. Oh, and when you put it on the tank, it stays put!   Dont waste money on a powerhead for circulation...get this!

  Wow. Ive had this for 2 days and come away super impressed. Casts a wide spread that works perfectly in my 55 gallon saltwater tank. A powerhead will seem puny compared to this if you're using it for water movement. At the same time, because of the wide spread, it's not overly powerful in any way.   Much quieter than Penguin 660

  I love this pump so far. The Aquaclear 20 is perfect for a 29 gallon tank. Previous Penguin powerhead was awful. A pet store recommended and ordered the 660 for my 29 gallon tank. It was way too much power with no way to adjust the output. My fish were getting blown around the tank. Even worse was the vibration. Even tried rocks on top of the cover to stop the rattling. Down graded to 4 stars because the bubble valve doesn't adjust to a tiny amount of bubbles without spurting them out off and on again. You either get spurts or a LOT of bubbles.   Nice powerhead. Using it on an undergravel filter in a 29 gal tank. It's very quiet and has an airtube for the venturi. When my Betta does pass in front of it, he gets whisked up in the current- which he doesn't seem to mind since he keeps doing it instead of avoiding it!   this pump head is an awesome buy it is whisper quiet and incredibly powerful would definitely buy more.   I pulled this product up on my ANDROID ICE CREAM SANDWICH DEVICE smart phone at Petco, and they would not pricematch the Amazon tag. After receiving said information, I followed through with a textbook Amazon one-touch order. As far as product effectiveness and value, I think that it's safe to say that my clown loaches have gotten 20$ worth of entertainment out of this power head. The consistent current also pushes most waste and debris one area in the tank, which is nice for when you've got to do water changes. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that the air hose is too short -- I would like to place the power head deeper in the tank, but the latter is simply a minor drawback.   it is a low cost powerhead that met all my needs. I have it in a 20l and thot it might be too much, after moving my mushrooms around to where they are happy all is good.
