    Excellent Cleaner

I have been using the Dolphin Nautilus for about 2 months now and so far been completely satisfied. This cleaner comes with 2 different types of removable screens that trap the dirt from the pool. One is for heavy leaf and debris pick up while the other is more for finer particulates. They are very easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. I actually prefer this type as opposed to the "bag" type I had been accustomed to using. The power cord is a little longer than other robotic cleaners I have used and seems to not twist up in knots. The cleaner completely removes dirt from my pool (20' X 40'inground) in about 2 hours. Rarely it might miss a small leaf or two but for the most part does an excellent job. It will also climb the walls preventing any dirt or algae buildup. The pump that makes the water flow through its filtration system appears to be quite strong. When the cleaner is in the shallow end you can really see the water rippling the surface of the water. The power supply has a... 5/5 Kman90 (Jamesburg, NJ USA) - See all my reviews I have been using the Dolphin Nautilus for about 2 months now and so far been completely satisfied. Fabulous Pool Vac

I love this pool vacuum. We have a large pool - 20' x 40' and 10' deep in the deep end. We also live in a wooded area surrounded by oak trees. It used to take us 2 hours to vacuum the pool, backwash the pump, etc. Since we got the Dolphin, it's a 5-minute set up and a 5- to 7-minute clean up. The Dolphin runs for approximately 2 hours, and picks up lots of bugs, leaves and dirt. Starting it is easy - plug the power box into an outlet, plug the Dolphin into the power box, place the Dolphin in the water, swaying it back and forth to release air bubbles, feed cord into the pool, and turn on the power. Dolphin moves in a random pattern all over the pool, much like a Roomba on a carpet. Fine filters trap dirt and bugs in the Dolphin. I am always surprised at how much dirt it captures. When the Dolphin is done, remove it from the water (I like to do this as close to the skimmer as possible due to some particles coming out as the Dolphin is lifted from the water), wash off the... 5/5 Avid Reader "hungryjenn" (Tucker, GA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Really does the job

If you read my review of the Aqua Turbo, you will see that it started out great and ended up being really poor. The cost of repair is obscene. So, here we start out a new review, after the Aqua Turbo burned out it's second motor, a $700+ repair with shipping costs. The Triton runs circles around the Aqua Turbo, when it comes to cleaning. With the Aqua Turbo, I got about 2/3 cleaning of our kidney shaped pool. The Triton gets all but one two foot corner. That I clean using the remote control with one sweep. And, it only runs for a couple of hours to accomplish a complete cleaning. i ran the Aqua Turbo for eight hours to accomplish the 2/3 cleaning. The only downside that I have found is that the filters that come with the unit have a very small surface area. They function well, but are completely clogged after just one run. They have to be cleaned every day, and this is before there is any pollen being dropped into the pool. I have ordered the bag... 5/5 Westcliffe, CO here (Westcliffe, CO) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Love it!

0 5/5 Gregory Ables - See all my reviews This review is from: Dolphin 99996356 Dolphin Triton Robotic Pool Cleaner with Caddy Swivel Cable, 60-Feet (Lawn & Patio) The cleaner just came in today and I used it for the first time. Initial assessment is..."this thing is awesome". My pool was extremely dirty from three weeks of on and off bad weather and no cleaning. This little jewel had it clean in about 2.5 hours and did not get hung up at all, unlike my Polaris 360. I see a summer of fun in my future instead of a summer of working on the pool. So far, I highly recommend it. I did get the remote and I recommend it as well. I was able to manually direct the cleaner to the shallow end of the pool and just reach in and grab the handle to get the cleaner out of the pool. No pulling on cords. If my review changes I will post a follow-up. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 31, 2014

    Nice Upgrade. Works Well!

I have had this unit for 2 weeks after replacing an original Aquabot unit that I had for 12 years. The Tigershark unit operates very different from the Aquabot unit, making frequent turns and changes in direction. This unit also moves a lot faster than the Aquabot and is a lot easier to clean. I have only used it in "Full Clean" mode and it does an adequate job (sometimes I have to run it twice, but so what). Unit climbs the walls to the waterline and doesn't get stuck on either of my 2 main drains, which seemed to be where my Aquabot lived. I like that the unit shuts off after the estimated cleaning period. Cleaning the filters, once you get the hang of it, is much easier than the Aquabot bag and putting the botton unit back in is a snap. The Aquabot unit that I had worked well, although I had to replace parts every 3-4 years. The Tigershark seems like the next technological upgrade to that pool cleaner, and costs only $100-$200 more than the Aquabot replacement. If I... 5/5 T. Not the machine I expected

The Tigershark QC was highly recommended by a friend who has had good experiences. Thus far, two weeks or so after opening the box and getting the Tigershark into the pool, I am disappointed. I have a full size pool, 18 x 38 as I recall (I haven't measured it in years) with a deep end. This machine will not clean your entire pool, not in 1 three hour cycle, or in 3 three hour cycles. It will get to 2/3, maybe 3/4 of the pool in that time. It will only occasionally climb a wall, so you will have to brush the sides, not a big job, but a job I did not expect to have. It will run right over and not pick up full size leaves ( there were only a handful in the entire pool - I was not expecting anything extraordinary) I have not had anything on the Tigershark break yet, but the bottom latch and filter cartridge, which must be handled often in order to clean the filters, feel flimsy. The plastic is thin, and feels brittle. It would be easy to break either part. This is not an inexpensive... 3/5 Harold - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Worth the high price

I purchased this item over two months ago after agonizing for months whether I should spend such an extraordinary sum for a vacuum. I read hundreds of reviews for all sorts of pool vacs.My particulars: I have a modest-sized pool, around 19,000 gallons and all curves. I wanted something that would ingest acorns (they rain down from an oak tree during the fall and early winter). I also wanted a vacuum separate from the pool filtration system (acorns and mini-branches would clog my pool's filtration system), would get fine dirt that tends to settle in the deep end and clean the pool tile that collects tree debris. This vacuum has fulfilled every expectation. It has been worth every dollar and significantly improved the quality of my life from its ease of use and effectiveness. If you can maintain the other aspects of your pool, it will pay for the pool guy in under a year. Go ahead: drop your service and buy this thing.Performance particulars:... 5/5 D. M. This vacuum is amazing!!!!

UPDATE 08/11/2014: I am knocking off one star because the fins on the wheels eventually crack where they are connected to the circular portion of the wheel itself which causes the bottom of the unit to sit too low because of the semi-collapsed fins and it therefore scratches the liner. You can see the scratch lines on the bottom of the unit as well. I ordered a new set of 4 for about $40 and all is well again, but, there are visible wheel marks and scratches to the paint of the liner. I don't think it tore anything or made any holes but this is a warning that you should inspect the pool floor at the end of every couple of runs. Don't leave it in after it finishes either because the chlorine in the pool will dissolve the wheel fins even faster. Had mine almost 2 seasons before this began. FWIW - the scratches for me are camoflaged by the design and color of the liner so no harm done for me anyway.I have never had any type of automatic pool vacuum before so after... 4/5 W. Works with some issues

This cleaner is easy to use and clean, and I've decided to stick with it though I have the following problems:Many times the cleaner may be found "belly up" at the bottom of the pool, or flipped sideways. As you don't track the whole operation unless you are spending an hour or more, you are left wondering when it actually stopped cleaning. To get better coverage of my pool (which has no straight edges) I have had to try multiple locations to start the cleaner.I haven't really seen it climb walls any higher than a little bit more than its own body width. And it cannot clean the steps (does not climb). The pool looks relatively okay after cleaning so I decided to keep this product. Can't ask for perfection from a robotic cleaner at that price tag I guess...========================After 1 year of operation, I am not happy with this product. So I had decided this year I was going to treat myself. My dad had an aquabot for 5 or 6 years, so I was familiar with the product. I favored the junior model as it seemed less of everything: less cost, less features to break and less weight. (Junior is about half the weight of the regular aquabot). My pool is 18x32 with steps and AQJ cleans it 95% perfectly. I do have to hit the steps and a couple of tight corners, but overall my brush time is 10% of what it was, and I will never net or vacuum again. My filter time is down by about 1/3. I am hopeful that backwashing will be decreased as well. I run junior every three or four days as needed. It has a space for the control panel, AC plug, the robot, the rubber hose and the remote control.UseFirst time setting up requires getting the brushes wet. Once that is accomplished you place the robot into the pool, and you push the power button. Options include 1, 2, and 3 hour clean times, as well as manual control through the wireless remote. I controlled the robot with the remote, and it was quite responsive. I believe its purpose is for spot cleaning.I proceeded to set it for a programmed time to clean our pool. Good value

0 4/5 Steph - See all my reviews This review is from: Pentair 360032 Kreepy Krauly Prowler 830 Robotic Inground Pool Cleaner with 60 Foot Cord (Lawn & Patio) We recently bought this robot for our pool. For the price & rebate from pentair it was a good buy. Cartridge filter, comes with the caddy, & even has a remote. My husband says the filters are easy to access and clean. Overall, I like it a lot. I haven't seen the robot reach the water line, but he does the bottoms and sides well. And the robot is plastic so I do worry a little about longevity. But for the price, this was a good buy and I'd recommend it. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 2, 2013

16,000 Pebble Tec pool in Arizona is spotless, thanks to Prowler 830 from Pentair.

We used to have an old Dolphin Diagnostics cleaner. It did a decent job removing derbies, but it was such a pain to clean it. Instead of filters, our Dolphin had some cloth bag (I called it grannie's underwear) which was extremely difficult to remove, clean and put back. I was postponing this task every time. Finally, the rollers on our old unit shifted and needed to be replaced. I assessed the situation and decided to invest into a better product.Thankfully, Pentair has removable filters which are very easy to manipulate. I can now clean them after each use, really takes 5 minutes for me to do so. The system is brilliant. We have 16,000 Pebble Tec pool. It is rectangular in shape with rounded corners. Our biggest problem is random little leaves from the trees and a lot of dust (Arizona). We use ultra-fine filters (supplied with the unit) and Prowler 830 does a remarkable job cleaning our pool. After 2 weeks of cleaning my husband announced that he never saw our pool so... 5/5 Angela Clark (AZ USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Needs better filters

First, let me say that I have been using an Aquabot Pool Rover Jr for several years. I brush my bottom and walls every month or so but I don't even know where my vacuum is. Haven't vacuumed for at least 3 years.Rover started having problems and the cord looks ugly so I thought I would replace it. The Breeze XLS is Aquabot's new model for above ground pools. I like that it has brushes. Maybe I can get away with brushing only a few times a year. Breeze also filters more water than the Pool Rover Jr and the pick ups are adjustable so it cleans a lot better.Put the Breeze XLS in my pool and watched it move quickly around the bottom. Even climbed the sides once in a while. Picked up the ants, leaves and sticks on the bottom of my pool but it let the dirt pass right through. Stirred the water up enough that my filter eventually cleaned up the dirt but my Pool Rover Jr had trapped all of the dirt itself.Called Aquabot support and got a girl that was clueless. Convenient, fast pool cleaner!

0 5/5 Mike Griffin - See all my reviews This review is from: Aquabot ABREEZ2 X-Large Breeze with Scrubbers Robotic Pool Cleaner for Above-Ground and In-Ground Pools (Lawn & Patio) I've had this Aquabot for about a month, as a replacement for my old Polaris vacuum. Overall, I've been really pleased with the unit. Much better technology to have an electronic power source rather than running off a loud booster pump (with the Polaris). And I just love you can set to a 1 hr or 2 hr cleaning time and it will shut off on its own.In terms of coverage, my pool slopes from 3ft to 9 ft deep and the unit has no issues coming up out of deep end or in climbing walls. I did have to fiddle with the wheel adjustment to get better coverage for my pool, which is a big gunite, about 20 x 50 ft. Also the footprint of the unit is bigger than the steps leading into pool, so it won't do them...but that's an easy brush.A little more maintenance in cleaning baskets, really need to rinse with hose inside and out, but.....total package is excellent. I just love it! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 12, 2013

    Not what expected

0 1/5 gwags - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Aquabot ABREEZ2 X-Large Breeze with Scrubbers Robotic Pool Cleaner for Above-Ground and In-Ground Pools (Lawn & Patio) I have a 20 x 40’ flat bottom pool. In the advertisement it is stated this should take about 2 hours to clean. It has been running for about 10 hrs and still hasn’t cleaned more than half of the pool. I have tried all the different setting (straight, curved, ect.) and still it wouldn’t cover the entire pool. The power cord has an anti-twist feature that does not work (it severely chafes the cord). As for the quality of cleaning; if you have a large amount of leaves or large particles in the pool it will clean this decently (if it gets there). But for fine particles, it leaves it behind (it has no 2 micron filter option). When you take to unit out of the pool about 5% of the debris falls back into the pool. This has been the most disappointing purchase I have ever made thru Amazon. I am trying to return this product…will see happens. Would I recommend this to a friend…the answer is NO! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 26, 2013

    Worth the Upgrage

0 5/5 MWB - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Polaris F9450 Sport Robotic Inground Swimming Pool Cleaner Vacuum 4-Wheel Drive Purchase was an upgrade from our old cleaner, the F9450 is worth every penny. It cleans floor, walls and steps as advertised. Just gave me a lot more free time for the summer. I wouldn't worry about comments re: moving to fast to pick up all debris. It does move fast! that's the point, leave it alone and it will get everything in the pool! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 16, 2014

    Love it...

I had a cheaper version of this cleaner and much smaller. This model is top notch and I just love it. Very easy to set up and had it working in the pool in less than 5 minutes. I love the program timer and how it cleans the bottom of the pool or bottom and sides. It cleans right up to the water line and now I do not have to scrub the sides all the time. It is not too heavy for a woman and the cleaner does have a button on the controller to bring the cleaner up to the surface, drain the water and you can lift it right out of the water; my other one I had to pull on the cord to bring the unit to me and fish it out of the water. Very quiet for the size of it and collects the smallest debris and dirt. Picks up leaves and bugs without hesitation and on one pass. The bag is easy to remove, clean and reinsert. Glad I spent the money on this cleaner and I hope it lasts for years, compared to my last model which only lasted two years. The Polaris name is one to trust and has a great... 5/5 Gigi613 (Dyer, IN) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
