    Excellent Cleaner

I have been using the Dolphin Nautilus for about 2 months now and so far been completely satisfied. This cleaner comes with 2 different types of removable screens that trap the dirt from the pool. One is for heavy leaf and debris pick up while the other is more for finer particulates. They are very easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. I actually prefer this type as opposed to the "bag" type I had been accustomed to using. The power cord is a little longer than other robotic cleaners I have used and seems to not twist up in knots. The cleaner completely removes dirt from my pool (20' X 40'inground) in about 2 hours. Rarely it might miss a small leaf or two but for the most part does an excellent job. It will also climb the walls preventing any dirt or algae buildup. The pump that makes the water flow through its filtration system appears to be quite strong. When the cleaner is in the shallow end you can really see the water rippling the surface of the water. The power supply has a... 5/5 Kman90 (Jamesburg, NJ USA) - See all my reviews I have been using the Dolphin Nautilus for about 2 months now and so far been completely satisfied. About As Good As One Could Expect, I guess?

Well let me first be honest and say that my pool was FILTHY when I opened it this season. We had a new Loop-Loc cover installed on our L-shape in-ground pool during the fall and it let every bit of dust and dirt under the edges and into the pool. It was a big big mess. However I was not going to clean the whole pool with my rechargeable pool vacuum that I used last year because it took forever. So I decided for sure that I wanted a robot to help with the maintenance and did a ton of research. This one IMO was the best available according to price and reviews. It seems that all of the robots had issues with one thing or another. Its nice to be able to just plug this thing in, drop it in, turn it on, and walk away. It really was that simple out of the box. It came with a set of filters already installed as well as an extra set for the smaller particles. There werent very many directions in the box as I was looking to read them first instead of just doing what I usually do and... 4/5 David "Dave" (Suffolk County NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Soooo Happy!

Customer Video Review Length:: 2:23 MinsWe've had our Kreepy Krauley for 4 years. I keep putting money into it to replace pads, fix parts...it never has enough suction...always something. We also run our pump through a solar unit to heat the water. I can't run the Krauley and solar at the same time...Dolphin fixed all this. After one year of use, would not buy again. Here are a few of the issues:1. the power chord twists up in knots and stops the sweep from accessing all the pool2. Power button has to be pushed manually to use. Would be great to be able to put it on a timer3. Works ok....not great. It does pick up a lot of stuff...but after a few months it does not climb the walls as well.4. Now I'm assuming the power unit... 2/5 Greg Mcateer (Moorpark, CA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Needs better filters

First, let me say that I have been using an Aquabot Pool Rover Jr for several years. I brush my bottom and walls every month or so but I don't even know where my vacuum is. Haven't vacuumed for at least 3 years.Rover started having problems and the cord looks ugly so I thought I would replace it. The Breeze XLS is Aquabot's new model for above ground pools. I like that it has brushes. Maybe I can get away with brushing only a few times a year. Breeze also filters more water than the Pool Rover Jr and the pick ups are adjustable so it cleans a lot better.Put the Breeze XLS in my pool and watched it move quickly around the bottom. Even climbed the sides once in a while. Picked up the ants, leaves and sticks on the bottom of my pool but it let the dirt pass right through. Stirred the water up enough that my filter eventually cleaned up the dirt but my Pool Rover Jr had trapped all of the dirt itself.Called Aquabot support and got a girl that was clueless. Poor quality. Poor warranty terms

I don't post reviews often, but this product was horrible and the warranty is worse. I purchased this to replace my Polaris that had gone bad. I was a little skeptical, but the price was right and the reviews were mixed. The robot cleaned like a dream for about 90 days then stopped working. I pulled it out of the water and followed the troubleshooting instructions that were provided. After all of the steps were taken I called Customer Service which was very polite and they gave me the phone number of the service center that was close by. Being that the service center is 500 miles away I was going to ship it. I was told by the Customer Service rep and the Repair center that I was responsible for shipping both ways. I went to my local UPS store and shipping was $100 each way with insurance. Due to the dimensions of the product and the weight it was just not worth shipping it back. Nice Upgrade. Works Well!

I have had this unit for 2 weeks after replacing an original Aquabot unit that I had for 12 years. The Tigershark unit operates very different from the Aquabot unit, making frequent turns and changes in direction. This unit also moves a lot faster than the Aquabot and is a lot easier to clean. I have only used it in "Full Clean" mode and it does an adequate job (sometimes I have to run it twice, but so what). Unit climbs the walls to the waterline and doesn't get stuck on either of my 2 main drains, which seemed to be where my Aquabot lived. I like that the unit shuts off after the estimated cleaning period. Cleaning the filters, once you get the hang of it, is much easier than the Aquabot bag and putting the botton unit back in is a snap. The Aquabot unit that I had worked well, although I had to replace parts every 3-4 years. The Tigershark seems like the next technological upgrade to that pool cleaner, and costs only $100-$200 more than the Aquabot replacement. If I... 5/5 T. Worth the high price

I purchased this item over two months ago after agonizing for months whether I should spend such an extraordinary sum for a vacuum. I read hundreds of reviews for all sorts of pool vacs.My particulars: I have a modest-sized pool, around 19,000 gallons and all curves. I wanted something that would ingest acorns (they rain down from an oak tree during the fall and early winter). I also wanted a vacuum separate from the pool filtration system (acorns and mini-branches would clog my pool's filtration system), would get fine dirt that tends to settle in the deep end and clean the pool tile that collects tree debris. This vacuum has fulfilled every expectation. It has been worth every dollar and significantly improved the quality of my life from its ease of use and effectiveness. If you can maintain the other aspects of your pool, it will pay for the pool guy in under a year. Go ahead: drop your service and buy this thing.Performance particulars:... 5/5 D. M. Not the machine I expected

The Tigershark QC was highly recommended by a friend who has had good experiences. Thus far, two weeks or so after opening the box and getting the Tigershark into the pool, I am disappointed. I have a full size pool, 18 x 38 as I recall (I haven't measured it in years) with a deep end. This machine will not clean your entire pool, not in 1 three hour cycle, or in 3 three hour cycles. It will get to 2/3, maybe 3/4 of the pool in that time. It will only occasionally climb a wall, so you will have to brush the sides, not a big job, but a job I did not expect to have. It will run right over and not pick up full size leaves ( there were only a handful in the entire pool - I was not expecting anything extraordinary) I have not had anything on the Tigershark break yet, but the bottom latch and filter cartridge, which must be handled often in order to clean the filters, feel flimsy. The plastic is thin, and feels brittle. It would be easy to break either part. This is not an inexpensive... 3/5 Harold - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Love the simplicity

With so many things to maintain for a pool already, the last thing I want to do is to maintain an automatic pool cleaner. If I have to replace belts, tracks, booster pumps, and so on, then I might as well spend that time with an old fashioned pole vacuum instead. Before I bought this T-Jet I had a tough time deciding between the Polaris series, T-Jet, and the Turbo T2 model.I ended up buying the T-Jet because of the simplicity with so few moving parts that can break. I'm happy with the decision. The T-Jet cleans the pool crystal clear. But to get the best performance, first I had to make some adjustments to the setup out of the box. So here are some tips. The settings on the T-Jet when it first arrives are for impressing you with the speed in which the water jets propel it across the pool - to maximize the water flow but not maximizing the cleaning potential. The changes I made were the following: 1. snap on the intake extender so that the suction port is... 5/5 D. Coral - See all my reviews, July 17, 2009

    Almost Perfect

**Update: After a year of use, I'd still give it a 4 star rating. Over the past year, I never had to clean the filter cartridges on my pool. All the dirt and debris that usually went into the filter cartridges got vacuumed up by the robot. I also never had to vacuum the pool using a vacuum head connected to by pool's filtration system. This spring my pool was a mess with dirt and leaf debris. I put in the robot with the leaf bag and several hours later all the debris was vacuumed up. Then I switched to the fine filter bag and a few hours later had a pristine looking pool again. For the money, this has been a great purchase. **Before I bought the turbo, I was cleaning my pool using a conventional vacuum head on a pole that was connected to my filter system. It would take me at least 30 minutes to move the vacuum back and forth across the entire pool to clean it. I have a cartridge filter system so all that dirt I vacuumed up just went into the filter. At times I would have... 4/5 J. Weber (Texas) - See all my reviews, June 21, 2009

It climbs walls and gets out of deep ends ... with floatation adjustment

There are essentially three types of automatic pool cleaner: pressure side, e.g. Polaris, suction side, e.g. Kreepy Krauly, and robotic pool cleaner, e.g. Aquabot. I assume that you have gone through the pros and cons of them and decide that you want to get a robotic pool cleaner. If you have not, I suggest you find reviews on the web to see which one is best for your pool.I chose Turbo T-Jet because it is the least expensive of all models, and it doesn't have a lot of parts to possibly go wrong (belts, motors). It has only one motor. That motor sucks water through a filter bag and also propells the cleaner forward.1. Effectiveness: It is quite effective for the area it goes through. It comes with two filter bags: mesh one for big leaves and debris and fine one for sand and silt. I use the fine one all the time. It picks up tiny sand and even algae.2. Clean time: It goes random paths and has no clues about where is covered and where is not. I found that... 4/5 Pete Chen (East Bay, CA) - See all my reviews, August 22, 2010

    They call it "The Classic"

I bought my aquabot "classic" at BJ's Wholesale Club about 4 years ago. I was under the impression that this unit would be fool-proof, easy to use, a work horse, and cheap to operate.Let's start this review with how it operates first and then get into the maintenance issues towards the end of the review. They're advertising that you simple plug it in and walk away. It cleans the whole pool, the steps, goes around obstacles such as ladders and will not get stuck. I personally found that I had to "baby" this unit. Every hour or so there seemed to be something going on. I found that it did hang on the pool ladder occasionally, so after a few times, I simply started pulling the ladder out to avoid this from happening. No big deal. In 4 years, I must say that I only saw this unit on the steps a few times, but then again, I wasn't watching too much. If I wanted the steps cleaner, I would catch the unit and placed it there physically. Then there's the claim that this unit will vacuum... 5/5 Joseph S. 0 2/5 historicalfictionfan (Texas) - See all my reviews This review is from: Aquabot AB Aquabot Classic In-Ground Robotic Swimming Pool Cleaner (Lawn & Patio) We've owned this machine since May 2007. It has been sitting in our garage for a year, since the repairs needed (electrical cord, electrical supply box, filter bag, etc.) would cost over $600 including shipping (to New Jersey from Texas). During the first two years the brush, drive track and drive belts have had to be replaced at least once if not more. The filter bag tore apart last year as well. It worked beautifully the first year and pretty well the second, but replacing the belts, track and brush was somewhat difficult. Also, I do not know if this is typical for robotic pool cleaners, but after being in the pool and filled with water, it was pretty heavy and somewhat difficult for me to lift out of the pool. I cannot recommend this machine due to the high repair costs. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 21, 2010

    This vacuum is amazing!!!!

UPDATE 08/11/2014: I am knocking off one star because the fins on the wheels eventually crack where they are connected to the circular portion of the wheel itself which causes the bottom of the unit to sit too low because of the semi-collapsed fins and it therefore scratches the liner. You can see the scratch lines on the bottom of the unit as well. I ordered a new set of 4 for about $40 and all is well again, but, there are visible wheel marks and scratches to the paint of the liner. I don't think it tore anything or made any holes but this is a warning that you should inspect the pool floor at the end of every couple of runs. Don't leave it in after it finishes either because the chlorine in the pool will dissolve the wheel fins even faster. Had mine almost 2 seasons before this began. FWIW - the scratches for me are camoflaged by the design and color of the liner so no harm done for me anyway.I have never had any type of automatic pool vacuum before so after... 4/5 W. Works with some issues

This cleaner is easy to use and clean, and I've decided to stick with it though I have the following problems:Many times the cleaner may be found "belly up" at the bottom of the pool, or flipped sideways. As you don't track the whole operation unless you are spending an hour or more, you are left wondering when it actually stopped cleaning. To get better coverage of my pool (which has no straight edges) I have had to try multiple locations to start the cleaner.I haven't really seen it climb walls any higher than a little bit more than its own body width. And it cannot clean the steps (does not climb). The pool looks relatively okay after cleaning so I decided to keep this product. Can't ask for perfection from a robotic cleaner at that price tag I guess...========================After 1 year of operation, I am not happy with this product. It almost always goes belly up in the pool and I need to pull it up and retry... 3/5 Anonymous - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Excellent for price!

0 5/5 robin d gray - See all my reviews This review is from: Hayward RC9740 SharkVac Robotic Pool Cleaner (Lawn & Patio) We have an inground 18x36 rectangle w/ 8.5 ft deep end and side stair entrance (liner). Robot takes the full 2 hrs to get all of the pool but it does cover the whole pool (cept stairs).I had have it for about 5 weeks and just drop it in the morning - by 10am the pool is perfect. It hasn't gotten hung up on the drain cover or turtled yet. The filter is easy to remove and hose off. I haven't brought out the old vacuum hose and head yet since the day we got it! It supposed to only go up a 60 degree slope, but i have seen it go up to the water line often. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 15, 2011

This review is from: Aquabot AJET122 Pool Rover S2-50 Robotic Pool Cleaner for Above-Ground and Small In-Ground Pools (Lawn & Patio) The Pool Rover S2-50 does a so, so job. It picks up the dirt and debris at the bottom of the pool. It tries to climb the walls, but only gets about 1/2 way up. We still have to brush the sides and steps. The manufacture states that less chemicals would be used with the Aquabot. Well, we have haven't noticed an improvement. The Aquabot does it's job but leaves room for improvement. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 23, 2013
