About this book
This second book in the Stem Cell Repair and Regeneration series provides a deeper exploration of the therapeutic potential of undifferentiated human stem cells. Regenerative medicine is an extremely fast-moving field which is evolving from the initial days of hype and excitement to a more realistic appraisal of the role of stem cells in the treatment of degenerative disorders. The series aims to keep abreast of these changes by combining new knowledge in stem cell biology and therapeutic applications. The current volume contains papers by the field's leading scientists and explores the current knowledge on cell therapy for different diseases and injured organs, including diabetes, liver and heart disease.

Not as hard as it seems

After 5 years of good service, my DC07 brush just stopped spinning. At first, I thought, no problem, just buy a new belt. Not with the Dyson. After a lot of research, when I found that you had to replace this clutch assembly, I seriously thought about just buying a new vac, but decided to try this repair first. There is a beautiful step-by-step instruction procedure on an Internet site which specializes in giving repair advice on Dyson vacs. The whole process took about 40 minutes, not counting the time I needed to go out and get a T-15 Torx screwdriver, which is absolutely essential to the process (make sure you have one of these before you start). Just be patient, follow the instructions, and you can do it.My problem was caused by accumulated cat hair which the unnamed person who used the Dyson didn't take the time to clean out of the brushbar after each use. This built-up mess eventually causes the brushbar to be harder to spin, which heats up and stretches the... 5/5 EasyWay - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Crazy Ratchet Noise from Your Vacuum Cleaner - Here's the part you need.

This is the part that goes out on Dyson vacuum cleaners, at least the DC07 and DC14 models. When the vacuum cleaner starts making a really loud ratcheting noise on the carpet setting, unplug the vacuum, flip it over, look at the beater bar (there are three quarter turn screws at the bottom of the beater bar cover), and remove the balled up hair string, and other wonderful things. If the vacuum still makes the awful ratcheting sound, then it's time for a new clutch. This is the part. There is a fantastic ten minute video that shows exactly how to replace this part. When you get to YouTube enter this in the search field: Replace Dyson Clutch & Belts DC04. Watch the video, if you think you can do the job, and then order the part. If it looks too complicated, take your vacuum down to the repair shop and pay them to do the job. This is not a very difficult job; most people that are pretty handy could do this repair. There is no need to purchase the... 5/5 Daniel G. Works well

It is fairly straight forward but it takes a while to install because of the two awkward belt stretches that need to occur while reinstalling the brush roller. All the belts that you need do come with the clutch assembly so you do not have to order the extras.I thought I would mention that bit about the extra belts since it is a little confusing when you look at it. In the picture they show belts but do not talk about them and Amazon has a set of belts available so it looks like you may need to order them do do the job. The answer is no. You don't need to order any belts, they come with the clutch assembly. As for ordering the belts alone and not the clutch, from what I can tell, once any belt breaks, the clutch is usually fried. I took my clutch apart (#10 torx) and found it to be a mess of melted, burned plastic inside.I used no special tools, just and two to three screwdrivers at various times to stretch the belt over the brush roller. The torx 15... 5/5 John C. Eberhardt "websitemarketingmasters" (Milwaukee, WI, USA) - See all my reviews, April 13, 2011

    Works perfect!

0 5/5 Mike - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Genuine Dyson DC07 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Power Cord (Kitchen) After the dog decided to chew through the wire I found this. It was easy to install. It just plugs right in after you remove maybe 3 or 4 screws. It just what I was looking for and cheaper than a new vacuum. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 23, 2011

    Good as new

The cord on my old DC07 wore out at the point where it was wound around the top hook. This replacement worked great if you are handy and willing to do a little work. It took me about 15 minutes to replace. You will need a Torx T10 screw driver to remove the plate covering the switch and some needle nose pliers to remove and install the clear plastic clips that protect the electrical fastners. The wires are color coded white and black so you can't mess it up. Unscrew the plate with the Torx screw driver. Mark the cord where it enters the boot. Remove the old cord and keep the clips and the rubber boot from the cord. Thread the new cord through the boot to the same length as the mark from the old cord. Put the boot back into the groove, then thread the new cord around the retaining screw in the channel. Using the old clear protective covers, connect the new cord to the white and black terminals on the switch. I plugged the vacuum in and tested the switch before putting it back... 4/5 Kevin (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Correct your product photo please.

0 1/5 Mtnmike - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Genuine Dyson DC07 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Power Cord (Kitchen) Amazon needs to correct the photo of this product. The spade connectors are not attached to this cord. Would have just cut my cord and installed new connectors had I known, instead of wasting the money on a new cord. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 18, 2012
