    Small and powerful

I was looking for a small, powerful and inexpensive vacuum cleaner, and this is EXACTLY what I got with Dirt Devil Dynamite. I was looking to replace my old stick-type vacuum cleaner which was okay for hardwood, but just too weak to pick up anything from carpet.I already have a fairly large carpet steamer which I regularly use. I didn't want another clunky machine to take up very expensive square footage in my house. I also paid quite a bit for that steamer, so I didn't want to shell out for a vacuum as well. However, I did want a vacuum cleaner with some power to it.1) SMALL: The first thing that caught be by surprise is how remarkably small this vacuum cleaner is. I think the lady in the picture is rather short because the canister part hardly even reaches my kneecaps! Size-wise it almost looks like a child's toy!2) ASSEMBLY: There's virtually no assembly required. Just snap in the handle and it's good to go.3) POWERFUL: It picked up... 5/5 Ena (Chicago, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This thing sucks

I got this vacuum for thirty bucks so keep that in mind. There are units out there that cost ten times that. So how does the Dynamite Plus stack up? It sucks! Very, very well. I don't think I have ever used a vaccum that had such powerful suction. I bought a Dirt Devil cordless unit (the one that no one seems to like) about a year ago and it was garbage. I wondered if anyone really needed cordless while in the confines of their own home. Most likely not. Why not trade the dubious benefits of cordless for maximum sucking power? For the price there is proably no vacuum made that is more powerful. So why only 4 stars? Despite a vacuum that seems well built, convenient, light, bagless, portable, etc., there is one thing that is insanely ridiculous about the Dynamite Plus' design. All of that powerful suckiing power shoots right out a front grill of the vacuum. Like a tornado!!!! The first time I used it was in the kitchen it it literally blew all of the photos and notes off my... 4/5 PhotoGraphics (Southwest U.S.) - See all my reviews, December 6, 2007

This review is from: Dirt Devil Dynamite Plus Bagless Upright Vacuum with Tools, M084650RED (Kitchen) Haven't had the unit long enough to be very critical. The unit is only 7 amps but seems to pick up dirt like a 10 amp, lots of power to work the brush's and suck up the dirt. So far it seems to be a good value for the money.**** CAUTION:Amazon recommended purchasing replacementbelt and filter with the Dynamite vaccum except that they recommended the WRONG belt and filter. Having not purchased the Dynamite before I went with what Amazon recommended which turned out to be the F-12 belt and F-1 Hepa Filter which are incorrect. The Dynamite vaccum uses a F-15 belt and a F-2 Hepa Filter so be very careful to order the correct belt and filter if you decide to order this vaccum...do not rely on Amazon's recommendations or their customer service. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 23, 2011

    Excellent When Used AS INTENDED

I have five cats. This means a lot of cat litter, cat food, and cat hair on the vinyl floor in my utility room. The Swiffer Sweeper Vac is perfect for quickly and easily picking up all of the above. It is light-weight, and does not scratch the floors. No dust pan and brush needed. The flexible sweeping head swivels easily to reach into corners and under cabinets with no problem.Important to keep in mind:In the user manual that comes with the product, it states you MUST charge the battery for a full 24 hours before first use.It states the vac will run for about 10 - 12 minutes on one charge, then need to be charged for 16 hours. It states the Sweeper&Vac operates best if used until fully discharged before charging again. It is intended for dry pick up only, not liquids. The dirt container is small. loved it initially. now...not so much

i thought this was going to be the perfect solution for the daily dust that accumulates on my hardwood floors. initially, i was impressed. the swiffer seemed to pick up a lot of the dust. however, i was bothered by the plastic "vacuum" part, as it sometimes can scratch the floor if you're not careful. as another member wrote, it would have helpful if they would have put some rubber or something over the plastic vacuum part.as the months passed, i found that the vacuum didn't seem to pick up as much as it used to. i do clean the filter regularly (which is a dusty mess each time you do it), so i don't know what's going on. frankly, the vacuum just isn't strong enough for what i need it to do anymore. i've reverted back to my regular "super-strength" vacuum to get the job done.pros:* lightweight* easy to use* works great for very light jobs* small and easy to storecons:* vacuum not as strong... 2/5 E. I would give it zero stars if I could - Useless piece of junk-BUYER BEWARE !

The concept of the Swiffer Sweeper Vac is excellent, but I found this vac to be very disappointing. I followed the directions to a T and still having serious battery issues. The Vac does not hold a charge and runs out of power way too soon. Even when it held a charge longer, it never really had much suction and is only good for picking up lightweight dust, pet hair, small particles. It worked better the first month or so I had it but swiftly declined (pun intended!) Why make this item cordless to begin with? I would love it if it simply had a long cord which I could just plug in to use. Must have been designed by some high-paid CEO who has a maid and never has to use one and has some false notion that cordless is better than plug in. If you are fortunate to have one which actually works correctly, a word of caution, be careful because the hard plastic hood which is the part that has the suction, will scratch your hardwood floor. I wish I had paid attention to all the bad reviews... 1/5 Music mamma (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews This review is from: Swiffer Sweepervac Rechargeable Cordless Vacuum Starter Kit, 1 Kit (Health and Beauty) The concept of the Swiffer Sweeper Vac is excellent, but I found this vac to be very disappointing. Great Product!

I purchased this product to help with the daily cleanup of pet hair on my tile floors. I researched several similar vacuums, but this one seemed to have all that I needed. The price was right, online reviews were good, and it meet all my criteria - cordless, upright and rechargeable. The product was easy to assemble. Handle is easy to attach and remove, filter is easy to empty and clean, and the vacuum attaches to the charger easily. The instructions said to charge for 14-16 hours before first use. It had charged about 20 hours before I first used it. It worked for about 5 minutes and then quit. I decided to let it charge longer. I kept it on the charger for 48 hours (just to be sure it was fully charged). I started it up again and WOW! It worked like a charm. The vacuum quickly cleaned up dirt & crumbs along with all the dust bunnies of hair from my multiple pets. It was easy to maneuver around the floor, chairs, and sofa. My tile area is rather large and I was... 5/5 Andrew Minarcik (Atlanta, GA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Eureka Quick-up Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vacuum, 96H (Kitchen) I purchased this product to help with the daily cleanup of pet hair on my tile floors. Here's the nitty gritty!

I have a love/hate relationship with this vacuum cleaner. There are great things about it, and horrible things about it. I will break them both down for you but first I will tell you a little about my home. It is about 2300Sq ft. It has 3 most common floor times. Hardwood, tile, and plush carpet. I bought this vacuum for my new home because it was appealing on many levels. It was small, lightweight and cordless. The Pros: This vacuum is small, lightweight, and cordless. It is easy to assemble and virtually goes anywhere! It's a lot quieter than a traditional vacuum cleaner. Heck it's so small and compact even my toddler enjoys using it (Woohoo!). It is also pretty easy to empty! The Cons: The battery life only allows me to vacuum about 2-3 rooms at a time on a full charge, and about 1 room on a partial charge. The suction isn't the greatest, and you can FORGET picking up anything that isn't dust or hair. It has trouble vacuuming up anything dime sized or bigger... 3/5 Jennifer - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Eureka Quick-up Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vacuum, 96H (Kitchen) I searched all local stores and the internet for a cordless, lightweight floor sweeper. I only found this product to have what I wanted for a reasonable cost. When I received the product I was happy when I noticed it could also be used on carpet. Gets the job done pretty well

I bought this after loving and then being disappointed with my Swivel Sweeper, which scratched up my hardwood floors and is put together cheaply. So second time around I went for something a little more expensive, hoping that it would be a better product and engineered to last. This vacuum seems to fit the bill in many ways.THE GOOD: It appears to be well made and durable, with the parts fitting perfectly together and nice details that show that there was serious time put into the development of it. I LOVE the fact that the head swivels around (not a 360 like the Swivel Sweeper, but it does move nicely). Emptying the debris is a total breeze, and it easily snaps in and out. The weight on it actually feels good -- like it's sturdy -- but it's not at all cumbersome or heavy. I use it often and have never run out of power, so it seems to have a good charge. It does a good job picking up along the edge of the wall. The built-in hand vacuum option is really nice for... 3/5 Chelsea Liddle (USA) - See all my reviews, February 20, 2010

Works great, compact, maneuverable, and cute!

This cordless stick vac is lightweight, compact, and has an appealing design and color! It has a convenient base station, and has a built-in hand vac. The filter is easy to clean and has not only an easy to empty canister, but also a "twang" feature that helps you rid the filter of dust without soiling your hands. Awesome! The stick vacuum cleans my 850 square foot condo (all hardwoods) in a single charge, with charge to spare for using the hand vac on upholstery. (I haven't had to use it on carpet or in larger settings, so can't speak about it's performance there). It's compact, perfect for apartment-dwellers or for use in designated smaller areas of a larger home like kitchen, foyer, pet areas, etc. And frankly, I think it's adorable and LOVE the orange color - - very cheery when you're doing mundane work like vacuuming :)People should have reasonable expectations of what a stick vac can do. BAD rechargable battery design - DEAD batteries in 6 monhts

0 1/5 Pete (Lockport, IL, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Electrolux Ergorapido Cordless 2-in-1 Stick and Handheld Vacuum, EL1014A (Kitchen) It did work well for about 6 months. After 6 months battery would last less than 5 minutes. I also noticed that the motor seemed to be running at "low" speed.A year later decided to have a look inside of the unit as it was useless sitting in the cradle not working anymore / not getting a charge.I opened it up and found 3 of 8 batteries had burst.I decided to try to replace all of the 8 batteries with new one.It was a bit time consuming. I was able to solder on tabbed NICAD batteries and arrange them as the old ones.Well it worked! The vacumn is like new again. Motor sound very powerful, picks up everything, runs for a long time and charges up every time. The replacement 8 batteries were about $18.00 with shipping and well worth fixing. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 27, 2010
