Great replacement for original pivot vac

0 5/5 Tool Guy (Chapel Hill, NC USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Black+Decker BDH2000PL MAX Lithium Pivot Vacuum, 20-volt (Misc.) My original pivot vac will no longer keep a charge, and I've been looking for a decent replacement. Thank goodness that B&D finally came out with this lithium powered model! It has the rubber flap to keep debris from falling back out, and a charging stand that automatically makes contact and can be wall mounted. It is more powerful, runs much longer, all while being smaller & lighter. The brush pivots up when needed and is never lost. A nice feature is that it comes apart for easy cleaning. Overall a super unit, it wins over the Dyson and Hoover and Shark, by far.Update: Evidently you can replace the battery pack, when needed. Two screws hold on the side cover, and then the battery pack plugs in. Great improvement over earlier models! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 20, 2014

    Excellent handheld vacuum

This review is for the BDH2000PL MAX Lithium Pivot Vacuum 20-voltI needed a replacement for my Black & Decker PHV1800 vacuum. The PHV1800 worked well for over 4 years until its battery wouldn't hold a charge. I used the PHV1800 to clean out my car. The BDH2000PL easily picks up sand from the car's floorboard. After vacuuming the entire car, the vacuum still has plenty of run time. The built in crevice tool is handy for cleaning around the car seats. The BDH2000PL seems to be the same design as the Black & Decker PHV1810, except the BDH2000PL has a 20V lithium ion battery. The BDH2000PL also has a rubber flap in the canister to prevent dirt from falling out through the nozzle. The PHV1810 reviews mention that dirt falling out of the nozzle is a problem with the PHV1810.The BDH2000PL comes with a charging cradle that can sit on the floor or be wall mounted. The cradle includes two screws for wall mounting. The vacuum has a dim blue light on... 5/5 Michael Roland - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Customer Video Review Length:: 2:51 Mins(Please watch my video to see this product in action)Be prepared to be surprised and meet a new generation of hand vacs. I've lost count of the number of "dustbusters" I've owned and there was not one of them that was designed any different from the first, starting with the plastic snout which snapped into a handle which contained a motor/fan and a cone-shaped filter. They all shared the same downfalls which were an average of 2-3 minutes useful life on a charge, pitifully weak suction, extremely small dust capacity and when the NiCad battery died (which it invariably would after a year or two) the entire thing had to be thrown away because the battery was not replaceable. As recently as only a couple of years ago I searched every conceivable source for a hand vac that was powered by lithium ion batteries, which seemed so obvious because nearly every other device by that time had abandoned the old NiCad battery technology and gone... 5/5 PhotoGraphics (Southwest U.S.) - See all my reviews, April 19, 2014

    Works for me!

We struggled between buying this unit and the comperable Dirt Devil offering, when we saw them at the local discount stores. Liking the stiffer dual-rotating beater-bar style brushes on the Bissell better than the much softer brushes on the spinning disk the Dirt Devil had, we settled on the Bissell. At the store, the only negative factor for the Bissell appeared to be it's one-year warranty, versus the two-years offered with the Dirt Devil. We did not consider a cordless model, presuming they would be less powerful. We also did not consider a model without scrub brushes.I used our new Bissell briefly last night on a couple of recent pet stains, and it did a good job. Today, I used it on all the rest of the pet stains on our light living room carpet, many of which were old. Almost all of them lifted well. The Bissell clean tank will hold a full 8 oz. (3-4 oz. cleaning product and 4 oz. water), compared to the Dirt Devil that only holds a total of 6 oz. It does a decent... 4/5 Sandi Hultman "SandiDandi" (Coon Rapids, Minnesota United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: BISSELL Spotlifter Powerbrush Handheld Deep Cleaner, 1716B (Kitchen) We struggled between buying this unit and the comperable Dirt Devil offering, when we saw them at the local discount stores. One powerful little cleaner

0 5/5 Samantha Rupinski (Oconomowoc, WI) - See all my reviews This review is from: BISSELL Spotlifter Powerbrush Handheld Deep Cleaner, 1716B (Kitchen) I have mostly hardwood in my home, but I do have a little bit of carpet, so I bought one of these for the small spots and spills. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs, so it seems that accidents are a daily occurence. I used this Spotlifter on some old pop stains that have been on the carpet for months, and it got them out no problem. I couldn't believe how well it worked and how dirty the water was that came out of my carpet. It worked so well that I decied to try it on my couch and chair, and it did a great job on them as well. Next stop was my car's interior, which was no small feat. It made my 6 year old minivan look and smell almost new. Buying this Spotlifter was definitely money well spent. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 3, 2003

    Surpisingly good machinefor the money

I nearly didn't buy the Spotlifter after reading all the negative reviews but I'm really glad I did. We have four cats and it's a constant chore keeping up with upchucked hairballs and food.Several of the positive reviews came from people with multiple cats and dogs so I decided to try it out. It arrived today and in less than an hour, I not only picked up a room full of new spots but also the stains left from previously cleaned older spots. I did not buy the Pet cleaning solution offered as an option and just used the solution that came with the machine. I selected the Spotlifter with the cord because, while I like the convenience of a cordless machine, the 15-minute run time before requiring a charge would not cut it with four cats to keep up with. It would be great for a one or two cat household. As to some of the complaints in the negative reviews, I found most of them to be either the result of not using common sense or failing to read the instructions... 5/5 lental (Tallahassee, FL USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) (Upstate NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: BISSELL 2X Pet Stain & Odor Portable Machine Formula, 32 ounces, 74R7 (Kitchen) We have only used this concentrated solution with our Bissell Spotbot Pet. Since the formula container for the Spotbot has markings on the side that tell how much formula to add, and we didn't know a non-concentrated formula had ever been available, we were using twice as much (or more) formula as was needed. This meant we ran out of formula quite quickly! I just finally read the back of the bottle (duh!) and found that you're supposed to add two capfuls to the container and fill with hot water up to the formula line. Oops! So, if you use the concentrated formula, be sure you read the instructions first! While the formula works well, it has a very strong (though pleasant) odor, which might give a sensitive person an allergic reaction. I'd recommend using this product with the windows open for your first time in case that happens to you. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 17, 2010

0 4/5 Mick (Pittsburgh) - See all my reviews This review is from: BISSELL 2X Pet Stain & Odor Portable Machine Formula, 32 ounces, 74R7 (Kitchen) Not sure if the 2x concentrate has Scotchguard like the non-concentrated, but carpet stays clean after numerous vacuuming.
